Jonny & Bri ▌Wedding Photographer, Sierra Vista - Arizona

As a photographer, I am seldom "just a guest" at a special event. The "photographer" personality never rests and the camera is always close at hand. My husband and I recently traveled to San Diego to witness the marriage of the two most wholesome and genuine people on the face of this planet. It was an honor to participate in their fun packed weekend of celebration! One of my biggest challenges was staying out of the hired photographer's way, which meant leaving the room when she entered, which meant missing shots I desperately wanted of this gorgeous bride... But on the up side, when it came time for the ceremony itself, that photographer, by church rules, had to stay behind all of the guests, and I sat front and center in the 4th row with a perfect view. Let that be a lesson to all Brides: find out the rules regarding photography well before the event or you may be relying on your guests for pictures! A little background on my favorite images: What you see- the groom squatting by a window with his eyes covered. What you don't see- the bride and her entourage at the window sill, singing "Going To The Chapel" in perfect harmony. The girls had been singing gorgeous, joyful hymns for several minutes and someone went and told the groom it was something he may want to hear. There is also an image of the Mother of the Groom and Sister of the Groom as Bri comes down the aisle on her father's arm. The final image is from The Admiral Kidd Club, where the reception was held for a very swinging crowd of amazing dancers. There is no reception quite like the reception hosted by and heavily attended by swing dancers! I really ought to have more pictures of the dancing, but, I was right in the middle of it, camera tucked away for the night! A huge congratulations to Jonny & Brianna, words cannot express how perfectly matched you truly are!

These are so lovely! I don't know if we officially met, but was dancing next to you during the Rocking Robin number and I also sand during the ceremony. I was especially blessed by the picture of Jonny kneeling and listening to the girls, one of whom was my daughter. The heart shadow made by the rings was so artful- I am sure that will end up framed in their house. You are very talented. Gail Bones

I love looking at your photos but that shadow one really took my breath away. Very creative.

Wow! I've been hearing about the fairy tale romance from Teri throughout Bri & Jon's dating. You captured the day so beautifully!

These are truly breathtaking photos. I am in complete awe. Speechless, but deeply deeply grateful to be looking at them. You are amazing, Karyn!

Oh, Karyn! These are wonderful. I love, love the heart shadow made by the wedding band. What a unique and creative idea! And catching the groom crouched by the window will be a favorite image of the new couple, for sure (I am glad you included the story, too!). I know there are probably a thousand other pictures you wish you could have gotten had the "real" photographer not been in the way, but I am sure these will be treasured as much, if not more!

I am in love with these pictures. The kneeling one made me cry a little. And the rings. OH MY GOSH Karen. So gorgeous!

I too was blessed by attending the wedding and reception. Your photos are spectacular! Thank you also for sharing the beautiful story of Jonny listening to the girls sing! Wow. We have known the Ralstons since the late 80's and watched Jon and Nancy grow to incredible Adults. Brianna and Johnny were created by God for each other! The dancers (you included!) were incredible to watch. In all a fantastic memory and your pictures captured them perfectly! Thank you for sharing.
