I ♥ Faces - We Are Family ▌Sierra Vista Photographer, Arizona

This week's theme at I ♥ Faces, the photography blog, is "We Are Family". I immediately thought of all of my redeployment work, the soldier homecomings that are my absolute favorite to photograph:

Head on over and join the fun!

Oh my word! This one should win!!! You captured the joy of a returning soldier and his family better than anything I have seen... it brought tears to my eyes and brought me back to my own soldier's return 2 years ago!

Oh, you know you always have a winner when you show your redeployment images. Not fair! :) And your idea of a destination vacation...what fun that would be! I vote for somewhere with autumnal colors and the need for sweaters, but not heavy coats. We don't own heavy coats.

I agree with Julie 100%. These are the best pictures :). Very emotional!

Karyn-
your military family photos NEVER FAIL to touch me deeply. they always remind me of just how much these families sacrifice in order to serve our nation...

And no, Julie, not heavy sweaters ... think, instead, *light* sweaters, and come to SoCal ;-) where the beach and the dry canyon are available within minutes of each other ....
